Gund has excellent quality, and though it did not come in a box (really my only complaint) Elmo is definely the softest stuff animal I have ever come along minus Big Bird who was just a little softer. I bought almost all the main characters for Christmas for my daughter and when we watch Sesame Street they are alot of fun to play along with, even for adults. With the free shipping this same item actually ended up cheaper than other less expensive sesame street dolls at different sites.
If you want to get past the heart felt price gouging from previous buyers' reviews and find out if TMX Elmo is worth the hype, my answer is YES! TMX Elmo is absolutely adorable! I purchased him for my sons [...] birthday in October. The thought process that went into him is just unreal and the marketing is fantastic! The box he comes in is even a treat! If you can get your hands on one at the msrp, then snatch him up![...] For all gigglers young and old, he is cute and fun and I think TMX Elmo is worth what I paid for him!
Elmo is soft and quiet which are both fantastic for our 22 month old son. Sheds a bit, but who doesn't? The eyes are really hard, so when he gets into a frenzy with Elmo, watch out because the eyes are bound to cause some damage as they bounce off someone or something. For reasons unknown to my wife and I, as much as our son loves this elmo, he won't let it into his crib. Maybe he's worried about the hard eyes too.
This new Elmo is awesome! The ability he has to stand up from a lying down postition is sure to amaze even the adults in the family. If you can find one, get it! Your little one will enjoy him.
My husband bought a TMX Elmo for our granddaughter for Christmas. He had so much fun playing with hers I bought him one. It is amazing to watch Elmo giggle and laugh and roll around in the floor. It is fun for any age.
I bought this as a birthday present for my two year old son. It ended up being the toy he played with (and abandoned all the rest) on his birthday. He plays the alphabet song over and over. Surprisingly my nearly 4 year old loves it too, but she plays with it differently. She uses the function where one of the character says a word and then she has to press which letter the word starts with. I was delighted to hear her repeating the words, sounding them out and then selecting the correct starting letter. Great educational toy. They have lots of fun driving it around as a bus too. Only drawback so far is that it is very loud and there is no volume control (other than the off switch).
I thought my granddaughters would love this remote since online it closely resembled my actual tv remote but when it arrived I was not impressed at all and the grands barely touch it. I think it would have been more interesting to them if there was some type of light at the top. It is actually pretty boring. Also, what disturbs me are the words that Oscar says when you press the number three "Get Lost" and "Yuck". I didn't think this was appropriate for babies/toddlers to learn and repeat. If I hadn't thrown away the receipt and packaging I would have definitely returned this item.
This is cute, and luckily I picked one up at my local Wal-mart on the day they came out, just in case... I had pre-ordered this from Amazon 2 weeks before it came out. Today I just received an e-mail stating that my order has been canceled b/c they can not find any from their suppliers. IMO, they should have shipped/fulfilled all pre-orders prior to keeping it listed as in stock on the day it came out and continuing to sell them. I am so unhappy with Amazon right now, that I'm not sure if I'll order from them again.
The amount of work that went into this toy was incredible. Well Done. My 15 month old son got this from Santa and absolutely loved it. He carries it around with him even though it isn't that cuddly. He laughs when elmo laughs and dances when elmo dances. So cute!!
I spotted this Elmo on a random shelf while shopping and as soon as I showed him to my son, he lit up! Once I pressed his hand and Elmo said one of his charming phrases it was all over!
I get nothing but smiles when Elmo blows kisses or tells my son he loves him. SO cute!
This Elmo is a great size for snuggling, and fits easily in the stroller or diaper bag for trips. A real plus!
He appears to be a seasonal item, so we will be buying a backup!
Purchased for my 2-year old granddaughter -- First night she received it -- loved the bathtime -- then became concerned that ELMO was dirty again - and demanded her mom take her back to the bath one more time -- didn't want Elmo to go to bed dirty,

±1±: Best Buy I ordered this bedroom for my 20 mo. old son who absolutely LOVES Elmo ("momo ")!!! This toddler bed was his transition from the crib. I do not know if that had something to do with Elmo, but the transition was as smooth as butter! He jumps into bed with Elmo every night without any problems! Table and chairs were a little smaller than I expected, but at this price, I have no complaints. The toy chest is just great! Ideal TON of toys. So far everything has been very durable! It is veryeasy to put together ... My 3 years old to help! :) We love the set and highly recommend! on Sale!
My son has had this toy for 2 years, beginning when he was 16 months old. The plane has a catch in the back so that it doesn't tip backwards, but there is nothing in the front to keep it from tipping forward. We had a number of incidents where he was trying to climb off or on, and he leaned too much on the front, causing him and the plane to launch forward. Luckily, we never had any injuries other than a few minor head bonks. Even when he was a little older and had used the toy for a while, he would still have trouble occasionally. He was over 2 before he really got the hang of it, but by then he didn't like it as much. I will admit that despite the safety flaw, he did love this toy when he was young. I cringed every time he found where I hid it though.
